ACM Lifting Lives is the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music Association. They team up with artists to fulfill dreams and bring worldwide impact to various charities through a contribution of music. Their mission is to improve lives through the power of music and they do so in many ways; music camps, therapy, school programs, donations to name a few. They are notorious for donating an impactful song to charity via iTunes that raises more money in minutes than could otherwise be accomplished in a year. Last year, Trace Adkins and crew donated “Til the Last Shot’s Fired” to the troops which left the Wounded Warrior Project a $50,000 gift. Toby Keith and Dave Koz did the same with their tribute for, quite possibly the sweetest man that ever lived, Wayman Tisdale, when they donated “Wayman’s Song” to SU2C.
ACM Lifting Lives just announced a string of benefit shows. Participating venues agreed to donate a portion of ticket sales to this wonderful cause. Tickets may be purchased from the venue directly. Fans who attend any of the benefit shows are invited take a photo of their ticket and tweet it tagging @ACMawards and using #ACMLiftingLivesBenefit for a chance to win a trip to the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards held April 6, 2014 in Las Vegas.
