In 1984, Ronald Reagan declared July “National Ice Cream Month.” To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Dippin’ Dots attempted a Guinness World Record title at Let Freedom Sing! in Nashville on the Fourth of July.
Warner recording artist, Ashley Monroe, joined Dippin’ Dots to headline a team of five scoopers who attempted to set a world record for the number of ice cream cups prepared in three minutes. In anticipation of the event, Ashley stated “I am so thrilled to be invited to help Dippin’ Dots break a world record. What better way to spend Independence Day than in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, enjoying live music and eating ice cream? I can’t wait!”
So, what happened when Ashley and Dippin’ Dots teamed up in pursuit of the record? The ice cream company took to Twitter to share the results . . .
