Hold on to your seats. You will be blown away by the collaboration and the recording that will be discussed and provided in this post.
Country music favorite Blake Shelton teamed up with music legend, and one of the best voices in history, Barbra Streisand, for an unprecedented pairing on her song “I’d Want It to Be You.” The song will be featured on Streisand’s new album of duets, Partners. Also featured on Streisand’s new offering will be artists such as Michael Bublé, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Billy Joel, John Legend and Elvis Presley.
A romantic duet, Shelton beautifully complements the incomparable vocal stylings of Streisand, not only with responsive lyrics, but creating depth in the chorus. Keeping up with Streisand is a tall feat for any artist, but Shelton certainly holds his own with the vocalist who is in a league completely of her own. The two join forces in the chorus, singing “sometimes, if you’re lucky, you’ll find that certain someone you can always count on to be true. If I had the choice for only one friend in this world, you know that I’d want it to be you.”
An unlikely partnership, perhaps, but the combination of Streisand and Shelton is sure to turn heads, drop jaws, and draw the attention of those who have not yet been fortunate enough to be exposed to one of these landmarking artists.
