We got an inner tube, we got a trailer hitch…and we’ve also got a water-skiing squirrel.
Yes, I know those aren’t the words to Brad Paisley’s new summer anthem “River Bank,” but they might as well be! The video has everything it needs to be a summer hit: sun, water, boats, drinks, bikinis and Paisley drenched in water. However, the star of the video isn’t Brad himself, but is instead, a pint-sized squirrel named Twiggy.
The video was shot in Alabama on a 150-acre body of water that made for the perfect summer shoot location, save for an unexpected bald eagle’s nest. Luckily, no bald eagles were spotted and no squirrels were injured during the filming of “River Bank.”
The video is Brad Paisley at his finest, combing his favorite things: water, his entire band, attractive people, an awesome guitar and a catchy track with clever lyrics. I’m certain that we’ll be hearing this song all summer long and Brad will be laughing all the way to both the bank and the river bank.
The song is the first single from Paisley’s forthcoming album, Moonshine in the Trunk, which is scheduled to hit stores August 26th.
