[email protected]: Man of the Cloth?

Okay, perhaps we shouldn’t take it THAT far, but the country rocker will be taking on a rather unexpected role in the coming week. On October 5th, Brantley Gilbert will be performing the wedding ceremony of two fans at an upcoming music festival! Yes, it’s true; the man with the tough exterior is apparently quite the romantic, as Gilbert became ordained in order to marry a few of his friends. The Number 1 hit singer admits he had a little help from his manager with the completion of the paperwork in order to get ordained, but now that he is official, he intends to take his responsibilities very seriously.

While it is unclear whether Gilbert has performed a ceremony as of yet, he will be making fans’ dreams come true by officiating their wedding. The ceremony will take place at Bayfest in Alabama on the final day of the music festival, where Gilbert joked that he would bind the two in holy matrimony on his tour bus.

Whether the wedding takes place on a bus, on stage, or in a crowd somewhere, the fact remains this will be one of the most memorable moments of these fans’ lives — for many reasons! Since we can’t be there to celebrate in this moment, let us all raise a glass, toast Gilbert on his potentially first wedding ceremony as an ordained minister, and congratulate the happy couple! Bottoms up!

What country artist would you want to perform your wedding ceremony? Leave us a comment here and let us know!

Also performing at the festival are Frankie Ballard, Alabama, Kid Rock, and Thompson Square.
