#BreakingTheIce Drew Jacobs

20-year-old Drew Jacobs hails from the northern state of Michigan and has set his eyes on the prize. He is young, talented and optimistic about his future in country music. He has 135k fans via facebook and his music video for his single titled “Kiss Me” has well over 300k views. 1. Where are you answering these questions from and what are you wearing? 

I am currently sitting on the couch telling you what I’m doing while wearing a grey shirt and jeans!

2. What’s your official title and favorite thing about what you do?
Singer/Songwriter! And I love producing music!
3. What are 3 things you CANNOT live without?
My social media, guitar and my oh so delicious chimichangas.
4. What’s the first concert you’ve ever attended?
Lonestar.
5. If you could only listen to one album the rest of your life, what album would you pick and why?
I would choose George Strait’sTroubador” because for some reason King George NEVER gets old.
6. What’s the hardest life lesson you’ve learned?
That I can’t please everyone. Not everyone in the world will support me and what I do and that is perfectly okay.
7. Do you have a favorite restaurant or hangout spot in music city?
My favorite place is my Grandpa’s house! Nobody makes food like Grandma Kathy.
8. Beer or whiskey?
WHISKEY.
9. Who is your favorite country singer from the 90s?
Tim Mcgraw.
10. Out of all the songs you’ve written, do you have a favorite?
My favorite is the latest single on my Debut EP Damn Good Night called ‘Kiss Me.’
11. Do you have a favorite place to perform?
Haven’t toured yet but my dream is to play at the Bridgestone and Opry!
12. What’s one gift you will never forget?
My first guitar! My grandpa gave it to me.
13. What current event has your eyes and ears? What are you doing about it?
There are always people in need of food and we have been looking into ways we can help feed those in need.
14. How do you think songwriters play a vital role in music today?
They are everything! Mostly all of today’s top songs aren’t written by the artist. The songwriters are the real heroes.
15. What’s one super power you wish you had?
I wish I had super speed.
16. You’re making your favorite sandwich… what’s on it?
Pulled pork, brisket,jalapeño bacon and BBQ Sauce!!! Yum.
17. Name one artist of any genre besides country that you are a fan of and tell us why?
Love N.W.A. It may be odd but I love them! I have their CD in my car and constantly blast it.
18. What makes you laugh out loud?
Memes online! They’re the best.

Someone starts the bonfire and blast the country music.
