Earlier this year Brett Eldredge was honored on Country Airplay as “Don’t Ya” went all the way to the top. Just this week he was recognized in a new way….with a key to the city of his hometown, Paris, IL. The city declared December 22 to forever be celebrated as Brett Eldredge Day. They also plan to add a larger than life sign stating that Paris, IL is the home of this rising singer. Brett, who has always talked highly of his midwest town, took to twitter for this statement,“They gave me a key to the city!? This is crazy! Let’s go open doors and stuff! I love Paris Illinois! Thank you!”
Congratulations Brett, from your friends at Country Music Chat!
Country up-and-comer Brett Eldredge has always been attracted to singers, a fact that should come as no surprise to anyone who’s heard the Illinois native’s soulful, distinctive baritone. “I always gravitated towards big voices, because as a kid I had this big voice coming out of me,” says Eldredge. “I was hooked on the story that somebody would be telling through their voice.” With his debut album slated to be released in 2013 on Atlantic Records and new single “Don’t Ya” at radio now, Eldredge is finally getting the chance to share a story of his own.
