Brett Young Brings Caliville Tour to Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore, Maryland isn’t a place where country music fans typically gather, however, on November 3rd Brett Young brought his Caliville tour to Rams Head Live in downtown Baltimore and it was a completely sold out show.

Carly Pearce, one of the fastest rising female stars today, was first to take the stage. Wearing a black Dolly Parton shirt and black jeans, Pearce resembled what it is to be country. A natural performer for a God-given vocal range, Pearce impressed every ear that night. A raw and emotional performance was executed as she performed songs such as “If My Name Was Whiskey” and “I Need A Ride Home.” Her current single, “Everything Little Thing,” was sung with elegance and grace. Carly Pearce is a powerful vocalist. She has a special essence that can’t be ignored and trust me- everyone should be on the Carly train.

Brett Young took the stage wearing a  Baltimore Orioles cap. A smart move on his part indeed. Young started his set with “Close Enough” and sailed into “Makin’ Me Say.” Young’s performance was laid back, he isn’t one who needs all the gimmicks and flashy lights. Young is ready to knock your socks off with just a microphone in hand. He has a flawless ability to write catchy songs and an even stronger vocal presence. Entertaining just comes naturally to the  vibrant singer who just landed a number one with “In Case You Didn’t Know.”

Young performed some fan favorites like “Beautiful Believer” and “Sleep Without You.” He also gave a phenomenal performance of his newest single “Like I Loved You.” Young and Pearce also did one heck of a duet together. It was rather fascinating and one of my favorite parts of the show!

Young might be one of the smoothest singers country music has today. His songs are catchy and his vibe screams “hip.” He is likable and refreshing and his soulful voice isn’t one that can be denied. Young brings a slightly R&B side to country music and let’s face it…we like it.
