I’ve got someone I’d like to introduce you to. His name? Brian Davis. If you haven’t heard this country twangin’, rock n’ roller then you need to get on it! There is no doubt in my mind that he will soon be the country newcomer everyone is talking about.
Brian Davis is from North Carolina and for the past few years, he has been working hard musically in Nashville while growing his ever increasing and dedicated fan base. He has opened up for country stars like Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley, Jason Alden, Lee Brice, Miranda Lambert, Kellie Pickler, Aaron Lewis, and Jake Owen. He has had Brooks and Dunn, Lee Brice, and Tyler Farr record songs he’s co-written. He recently had a song he co-wrote (“What If I Was Willing”) picked up by the ABC hit show ‘Nashville’. Most recently, he signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music Nashville and its publishing partner, Brantley Gilbert’s Write Or Die Music.
Perhaps what has helped Brian out the most along the way is, not his kick ass live performances, but that he takes time out on Twitter nearly everyday to respond to his fans’ tweets keeping close ties with them.
Speaking of performances, he may be the only country newcomer on the rise that can throw a hell of a rock show with just him and his acoustic guitar! Davis also makes you feel his music in his 5 studio albums, especially in the most recent “Under the Influence” released in October 2012. Davis explains his sound as a mix of Matchbox-Twenty, Waylon Jennings, Counting Crows, Hank Williams, Bob Marley, Garth Brooks, AC/DC, and Tom Petty. Sounds like a lot, but I would have to agree with him as this gives him a unique, standout, rocking country sound.
