Once in a while, you’ll hear a song that resonates so well with your innermost memories and thoughts that you’ll catch yourself reminiscing and nodding your head while the rest of the world melts away for 3:44 seconds. That is guaranteed to happen when you listen to Broseph’s latest single, “Some Things.”
The band of “bros” had their hands in writing “Some Things,” which always makes it extra special. Lead singer, Brock Jones, said of the masterpiece, “We are very proud and ready to be releasing this song at this point in our career because it shows a different side of Broseph. We are a family, and ‘Some Things’ hopefully lets everyone see that side of us.” Brooks Boyer, Sean Halbrook, and Brock Jones of Broseph wrote this alongside Keesy Timmer (also responsible for a co-write on Kelsea Ballerini’s “Yeah Boy”) and Greg Archilla, who also co-produced it with Brooks Boyer.
Musically, you’ll hear everything from the complementary sounds of acoustic and electric guitars, to drums, bass, keys, and the sweet country sound of a mandolin to keep your ears intrigued. As a bonus treat, Ilya Toshinskiy added his expertise to the track in the studio, and the outcome is flawless.
“This song was inspired by life just moving too fast sometimes. We wanted to create a song that takes people back in time to reflect on some of their best memories.” -Brock Jones
I believe “Some Things” does just that, and I hope you can take the time out today to listen and enjoy a song that will not only take you back to those treasured memories but it will remind you to pause and relish life as it’s happening at the moment.
Broseph will be releasing a music video for “Some Things” by the end of the month, so you’ll want to keep up with them to be sure to catch it! You can stream “Some Things” on Spotify or download it on iTunes. Stay in touch with Broseph on their website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
