What Is @CarrieUnderwood Doing in Haiti?

Carrie Underwood’s current single with Miranda Lambert may be title “Somethin’ Bad,” but there is nothin’ bad about the country superstar. The Oklahoma native is currently in Haiti as part of a mission trip with Danita’s Children, a nonprofit that helps impoverished and orphaned children.

While Carrie has remained mum about the trip, one of her fellow missionaries took to Instagram to share a photo. Rhae Lauren captioned the photo, “The girls of the trip getting ready to cross the D.R. (Dominican Republic)/Haiti boarder this morning. Excited for our first day. So proud of everyone and how much we were able to accomplish! @danitaschildren#haiti#dentalmissiontrip.”

In the photo (below), Carrie is dressed down, rocking Aviators and clearly ready to help, a far cry from the glammed up superstar we recently saw strutting her stuff on the stage at LP Field.

This isn’t Carrie’s first experience with helping the poor in other countries, having spent time in Africa in 2007 as a part of American Idol‘s charity special, Idol Gives Back. For that endeavor, she recording a breathtaking version of the Pretenders’ hit “I’ll Stand By You” with all proceeds going to charity.
