One differentiating factor that makes country music…well, country music…is how the artists really relate to their fans. I mean they have a festival completely dedicated to it by the name of CMA Fest – with meet and greets and everything. Relating to your fans is one thing, but connecting with them is another. Few artists have connected with their fans in the ways Taylor Swift, Jo Dee Messina, and Shania Twain have.
When it comes to being a female country artist, it seemed there was an open throne for “Queen of Nice” and the question was: who can fill that seat? It’s not as easy as you think finding a country star that is a) female and b) super in tune to her fans. But, have no fear….with some research I found out one star shines pretty brightly in all those categories and that’s, hands down, Cassadee Pope.
This past week at the ACC Awards in Nashville, many popular fan pages were invited to come and be a part of the award show journey. This meant Cassadee’s long time supporter Kristy Fournier and her friend Cassie Karns got to go as representatives of the fan base known as the “Cassettes.” Kristy spearheads the fan club, “Cass Is Bad Ass,” and, small piece of trivia – this fan club was voted by Country Music #CMchat followers as Must Follow Fan Club during our first ever #CMchattys Awards.
It’s pretty cool that dick clark productions invited these supportive fan groups, right? I mean just to be included and potentially get a photo with your favorite would be enough.
During ACC Awards weekend, the platinum recording artist went above and beyond when she made sure Kristy and Cassie’s red carpet experience was anything but ordinary. Cassadee addressed them by their names and asked personal questions, truly proving how much she cared about them not just as fans….but friends. Yeah…that’s right – FRIENDS. The way they communicated made it very obvious their connection was deeper than most. That’s like #FanGoals right there!
What a very special memory Cassadee made for these girls. I hope people start to take notes on this behavior because this is truly what separates artists in today’s ever evolving world.
It’s good to know Cassadee is a star both on AND off the stage!
