Cassadee Pope

She was on our Country Music #CMchat wish list of guests and we are thrilled to say that we appropriately wrapped up our Rocktober Monday night Twitterviews with the lovely, talented, and hilarious Cassadee Pope. Few female artists have burst onto the scene as of late with as much oomph as Cassadee, carrying her debut single “Wasting All These Tears” to the Top 10 and achieving platinum status. In fact, Cassadee is such a rockstar that she not only received platinum certification, she did it in record-breaking style, becoming the first female in eight years (since Big Machine label mate Taylor Swift in 2006) to experience a platinum-selling debut single.

Yup, that’s right. That is who we spent our Monday night with here at Country Music #CMchat. And as if that isn’t enough to impress you about Ms. Cassadee Pope, she also was the lead singer of a rock band, “Hey Monday,” and was on The Warped Tour; won NBC’s The Voice (Season 3) as a member of Team Blake Shelton; had her own docuseries on CMT; has a Number 1 debut album (Billboard’s U.S. Top Country Albums), Frame by Frame; spent all summer on the road with Tim McGraw and Kip Moore; and will be performing at Stagecoach 2015. And that just scratches the surface of Cassadee Pope and her career.

True, females are struggling a bit to be heard in country music these days, but then there are the few, the proud, the gravity defiers, who can look adversity in the eye and spearhead a shift … and that, my friends, is what Cassadee Pope can and will do. If the impressive list of achievements (thus far) isn’t enough to prove this tremendous artist’s star and staying power, there is so much more worth mentioning – and those things are what we learned during our Country Music #CMchat Twitterview with Cassadee.

First of all, with Halloween this week, we made sure to find out what Cassadee has up her sleeve. She is keeping it low key this year, with some candy, cocktails, and the ever-so-spooky movie, Hocus Pocus. Cassadee is avoiding running amuck, amuck, amuck amuck amuck by watching the comedic take on the haunted day because she isn’t a huge fan of scary movies. We also learned that this rocker turned country sweetheart covered “Cowboy Sweetheart” as a child and can yodel. If this was a video #CMchat, we would have requested some yodeling on the spot.

Cassadee shared all this and so much more with Country Music #CMchat attendees AND she even took the time to answer Jessica Northey’s community questions (“CQ”), as well as fan questions. Since Cassadee’s CQ answers were so fantastic, we will be posting a separate wrap-up for all of her (and your) Community Question answers. Hey, you may even see some of your answers sharing web space with your favorite artist’s!

In case you missed the fun night we had with Cassadee Pope, here is the entire Twitterview, tweet-by-tweet, for your viewing pleasure! Thank you to Cassadee and her amazing team for making this night possible!
