Country Music #CMchat upcoming guests and Big Machine recording artists Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, along with Black River’s Kelsea Ballerini, recently shared the stage for WGAR’s Girls for Guitars to raise breast cancer awareness. Performing an acoustic round, the three girls shone, spotlighting their gorgeous vocals for an enthusiastic crowd. Luckily, an audience member captured the last round of the three country music rising stars.
Saving their bests for last, the three starlets performed their first singles for the audience. Danielle led off the final round, beautifully belting “Heart of Dixie,” written by Brett James and #CMchat One to Watch Caitlyn Smith. Kelsea sang next, giving credit to her guitarist, Josh Kerr, for co-writing her first single “Love Me Like You Mean It” with her (and Forest Glen Whitehead and Lance Carpenter). Platinum-selling artist, Cassadee, introduced “Wasting All These Tears,” also written by Caitlyn Smith and her husband Rollie Gaalswyk, thanking everyone who voted for her video to win the CMT Award for “Breakthrough Video of the Year.”
If the video of the last round is any indication of how incredible the entire show was, those of us who were not in attendance were deprived of an amazing event. Thank goodness for great fans, cell phones, and YouTube bringing us a little bit of the show straight to our homes.
