Chris Young…headliner?

The Band Perry made news last month as the talented trio performed their first sold out headlining show in Canada. They recorded their last CD with the live show in mind…brilliant move with a well deserved outcome.

It begs the question who is next? Which opening act is ready to headline in 2014? It could be any number of artists but my money is on Chris Young. In September Young released his latest album A.M which, like The Band Perry, has several songs that will bring a live show to their feet. The title track A.M and uptempo Aw Naw showcase great lyrics that remind me of any night in downtown Nashville. However, Young stays true to his sultry baritone voice that made him famous and sings several heartfelt songs such as Goodbye and Text me Texas. Its the voice and his guy next door, football loving attitude that keeps fans coming back for more. And come back they do. They meet daily on social media to talk about all things Chris and recently came together to raise over $12,000 for the Susan G Komen Foundation.

Party songs, ballads, awesome band, top notch production team,  loyal fans and supporters….check.  Move over Chris…its someone else turn to open.
