Losing Sleep World Tour 2018 has booked 18 shows and one of those shows took place on February 9th in Fairfax, Virginia at the EagleBank Arena. Headlining act Chris Young put together one hell of a tour.
LANco is a fairly new act within the country music community, however, that didn’t stop them from performing like seasoned superstars. Their recent single “Greatest Love Story” continues to climb the charts. Their performance never lacked enthusiasm or musicianship. They truly did a stunning job.
Country music newcomer and rising superstar Kane Brown was next to impress the audience. Fans drove far and wide to see Brown perform. According to the Kane Brown fan club group via Facebook, a huge majority of those in attendance were strictly Kane fanatics.
Brown, who took the stage wearing mostly white (although darker colors seem to be his norm) was simply glowing. His personality is highly contagious and it’s evident why fans connect with him so well. He performed songs such as “Found You” and “Used To Love You Sober.” His fluent baritone vocals were effortless. Brown resonates star quality and although I hate comparing artists, Brown strikes me as a country version of pop superstar Bruno Mars. He has no fear showing off his intriguing dance moves or his one of a kind style.
Brown also performed his hit song featuring Lauren Alaina titled “What Ifs,” which scored him a number one on country radio. He also displayed total crowd control while showing us an intimate side with “Heaven.”
Kane Brown gives us his all in every performance. He is creating his own lane within country music and we love it.
Headliner Chris Young was highly impressive. He opened his set explosively with “Losing Sleep” and sailed right into “Gettin’ You Home.” A confident and zealous Young performed with such grace and assurance.
Chris Young has such stunning vocals! You won’t find many gimmicks surrounding Young, just a guitar, and his one of a kind voice. His stage presence is sturdy and cozy; he performs with true artistry. Young also performed some crowd pleasers with some of his best hits such as “Sober Saturday Night” and “Aw Naw.”
He performed a powerful and daunting cover of the late Keith Whitley “Nothing At All” which was flawless and truly heartbreaking. Keith Whitley is a true country legend and it’s hard to top the original, but with Chris Youg, anything is possible. Young also gave a gut-wrenching and intense performance with “Where I Go When I Drink” off of his newest album Losing Sleep.
The Losing Sleep Tour is one of the most top-notch shows overall. The massive amount of talent is great! When you see a live show such as this one, you can’t help but love country music even more.
