Clint Black

Last night Mr. Clint Black was at the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards and tonight, he after partied with Jessica Northey and Country Music’s #CMchat. We thought having Clint for a Twitterview once was a dream come true; then we booked him again and our hearts could barely handle the excitement. I mean, it’s Clint. Black. Folks.

Of course, we couldn’t wait to catch up with our friend from Twitterview past and find out how the beginning of his next twenty-five years of country music success has treated him. But, most importantly, Clint actually joined us to share some big news with his fans and to tell them of a new project he is working on, how they can get involved, and how they can possibly meet and perform for Clint himself!

Before we get started, it must be said that Clint Black does his own social media and is better at Twitter than even we are. Who knew those types of people existed?! Jessica Northey probably put it best:

While we covered a lot of ground during the Twitterview with Clint (all of which you can read below in our tweet-by-tweet wrap-up), he joined us for a very special reason tonight. Clint, along with Chideo, wanted to announce that he is giving fans the chance to submit video of themselves singing original songs for the chance to record in his in-home studio and audition for his management company, The Collective.

To enter the contest, fans must:

1) Upload a video using Chideo; and

2) Donate $20 to

To win the contest, you must:

1) Be chosen by Clint Black and The Collective as a Top Four finalist; and

2) Receive the most fan votes between June 17, 2015 and July 29, 2015.

The winner will be announced on July 30, 2015. The Grand Prize includes a trip to Nashville, the in-studio recording, and the management audition. The other three finalists will receive Clint Black autographed guitars.

***Remember, all proceeds for this contest will benefit research for Rett Syndrome, so even if you aren’t musically gifted, you can still give the gift of hope to someone in need by clicking here.***

Although the major goal of our Twitterview with Clint was to spread the word about the Chideo contest and raise awareness about Rett Syndrome, we also had a blast discussing Clint’s music, life, and hobbies. Along with Jessica Northey’s questions, Clint never skipped a beat, answering questions left and right from pretty much every fan who stopped by Twitter tonight to spend some time with a man who just can’t get any better.
