See the @CountryMusic Awards Nominees + Exclusive Pics! #CMAAwards

CMA Awards season is officially upon us! Today, the final list of nominees for the 48th Annual CMA Awards was revealed in New York City. Darius Rucker and Little Big Town appeared on Good Morning America to reveal a few categories before trekking down the street to New York’s Best Buy Theater to reveal the rest of the nods to fans and press.

While the November 5th Awards show may be country’s biggest night, today was country’s biggest morning! #CMChat was in the house for that event and we’ve included some photos below! Highlights included an adorable performance of Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel” from a choir of children who were part of the CMA’s Education Through Music program. They were gleeful when they got to high-five “Hootie” himself before Rucker and LBT’s Karen Fairchild presented a check for $125,000 to bring music to more schools in the NYC area.

Little Big Town were their adorably humble selves, smiling as Rucker announced their nomination for vocal group of the year. The audience also got quite the chuckle when Rucker joked that “Kasey Musgraves and Honey,” nominated for directing the “Follow Your Arrow” video, sounded like a sandwich.

And a few heads in the room were scratched when Taylor Swift‘s name was announced as a nominee. Didn’t she just break up with us?!

Big nominees included Miranda Lambert with a record NINE nominations and Dierks Bentley with five.
