Entertainer of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.47.08 PMScotty: Luke Bryan – Last year was Blake’s year, but if I’m not mistaken I see this as being Luke’s year to sweep the competition.
Bethany: George Straight – I think it’s a sentimental choice.
Jessica: Going by the buzz and my own personal thoughts when I saw King Georges name on here, I say The Cowboy Rides Away with this.

And the winner is…George Strait

Single of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.50.45 PM

Scotty: “Cruise” – Florida Georgia Line – There is no mistaking the hype that “Cruise” received, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if Kacey Musgraves was the one to take the trophy home.
Bethany: Florida Georgia Line “Cruise” – You could turn the dial without having this song be on the radio.
Jessica: I think when anyone looks back on 2013, it was THE YEAR of “Cruise” and that’s  my choice also.

And the winner is…”CRUISE” (Big Surprise…)

Album of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.51.07 PM

Scotty: Same Trailer Different Park – Kacey Musgraves – With a huge reception from both the industry and fans, I will be surprised if the debut from Kacey Musgraves doesn’t take home a win.
Bethany: Taylor Swift “Red” – I feel like this album seems more mature. I’ve never been a huge fan but I feel like she’s moving in a new direction.
Jessica: I say Tornado or Same Trailer Different Park, but personally I love Based on a True Story. Especially the pre-promotion I thought that it was brilliant and they did some very cool social media optimization.

And the winner is…Based On A True Story… – Blake Shelton

Song of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.51.22 PM

Scotty: “Merry Go ‘Round” – S. Mcanally, K. Musgraves, & J. Osborne – The field is tight for this competition, but I think “Merry Go ‘Round” has enough to take the edge!
Bethany: “Pontoon” – B. Dean, N. Hemby, & L. Laird
Jessica: I Drive Your Truck is such a sentimental and amazing song and deserves this award.

And the winner is…”I Drive Your Truck” – J. Alexander, C. Harrington, & J. Yeary

Female Vocalist of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.52.57 PM

Scotty: Carrie Underwood – It’s been a few years since Carrie has taken this title!  I think it’s her year to get it back.
Bethany: Miranda Lambert – I just think she’s still on fire this year and not burning out anytime soon.
Jessica: I originally said Miranda but am gonna go off the beaten path and say Kacey Musgraves might sneak away with this, however I also think Taylor Swift had a HUGE YEAR but I don’t see this being her year for this.

And the winner is…Miranda Lambert

Male Vocalist of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.53.24 PM

Scotty: Luke Bryan – With a killer album release and sold out shows, Luke gets the edge over the talented group.
Bethany: Blake Shelton – He’s still going strong, some great singles this year and popularity from The Voice. He’s on everyone’s radar.
Jessica: Blake or Luke seem like the obvious choices, however I am gonna go with Jason Aldean, he had an incredible year.

And the winner is…Blake Shelton

Vocal Group of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.53.37 PM

Scotty: Little Big Town – I think this year will go to either of the most recent winners: LBT or Lady A.  I have to give it to LBT though!
Bethany: The Band Perry – Their new album rocks! They are everywhere you turn!
Jessica: Most likely Little Big Town, but personally I am routing for The Band Perry.

And the winner is…Little Big Town!!!

Vocal Duo of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.54.02 PM

Scotty: Florida Georgia Line – There is no denying the year that FGL has had this year.  I will be surprised if the award goes to anyone else.
Bethany: Florida Georgia Line – They’ve just exploded on the scene. The other nominees are great but it seems like FLAGA is the standout.
Jessica: Like my Country Cadre I co-sign Florida Georgia Line taking this home.

And the winner is…Florida Georgia Line!!

Musical Event of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.54.16 PM

Scotty: “The Only Way I Know” – Jason Aldean w/ Luke Bryan & Eric Church – The star power that this song has going behind it is unreal.  It’s a tough competition, but I don’t think Tim, Taylor, and Keith have what it takes to beat this group out.
Bethany: “Boys ‘Round Here” Blake Shelton & the Pistol Annies – Blake, Miranda and gang, catchy song…you don’t need more than that.
Jessica: Highway Don’t Care. It was absolutely stunning.

UPDATE: The award has been awarded to “Highway Don’t Care”!

Musician of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.54.27 PM

Scotty: Dann Huff – I think this will go to Dann Huff or Mac McAnally.  Mac has had the award for years, so I am betting that Dann can take it this year.
Bethany: Sam Bush
Jessica: Sam Bush

And the winner is…Mac McAnally

Music Video of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.54.47 PM

Scotty: “Blown Away” – Carrie Underwood – The magic behind Carrie’s video this year has been unreal.  I wouldn’t be disappointed for any these videos to take home the trophy.
Bethany: “Highway Don’t Care” – Tim McGraw, Keith Urban & Taylor Swift – It was like a mini movie. It was so intriguing to watch and sent such a strong message.
Jessica: I picked Highway Don’t Care for this also when we did our predictions when the nominees were announced and stay with this.

UPDATE: The award has been awarded to “Highway Don’t Care”!

New Artist of the Year:

Screen Shot 2013-11-04 at 4.55.01 PM

Scotty: Kacey Musgraves – This is a tight bunch for me! I am rooting for Brett, but I think Kacey has the industry edge this year.
Bethany: Kacey Musgraves – After seeing her get standing O’s at The Ryman and her instant popularity I think her unique style makes her stand out.
Jessica: Kacey Musgraves or Florida Georgia Line, although I think Lee Brice had an amazing year.

And the winner is…Kacey Musgraves!

AND here’s a little rewind from the day the nominations came out.  We did a Twangout with Matt Bjorke from Roughstock, Stephanie Bear from Got Country, Lydia Picknell from Keepin’ It Country and Bethany Priest from 98.7 WINQ Wink Country.
