[email protected] Announces 2014 Artists of the Year #CMTAOTY (See the list!)

Each year, CMT honors the biggest country stars of the past year and 2014 is no exception. Today, CMT announced this year’s nominees: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban. These five will be honored at CMT’s Artists of the Year on December 2nd in Nashville. The show will be a star-studded event with performances and more to honor each nominees successes.

While Keith Urban is the newbie of the bunch with his first nomination, the other four have been nominated in the past. In fact, Aldean has been nominated every year since the show began in 2010.

“Country music has never been bigger, and these five are its biggest stars of 2014,’’ said John Hamlin, SVP Music Events and Talent, CMT. “We do everything we can do to make sure this is the party of the year for them. And rightfully so. They’ve earned it.”

Previous honorees of CMT ARTISTS OF THE YEAR include Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band.

Do you think CMT left anyone out this year? Who most deserves this honor?
