Cole Swindell. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
Now that I got that out of the way, I have to admit, Cole Swindell has been on my personal Country Music #CMchat Twitterview guest wish list since I started to bleed “#CMchat pink” (and, yes, there is a VERY specific pink when it comes to #CMchat … right Jessica?) I would love to pinpoint one thing about Cole that has made him such a hot commodity in my and the team’s book, but that is simply impossible.
Cole is a hit songwriter; Cole is a hit song maker; Cole is a headlining act on a tour; but, most importantly, Cole has proven to be a gracious, down-to-earth, standup man who does country music proud. How could you not love this guy and wish for his attendance on your platform?
What is important to know about Cole, aside from the aforementioned laundry list of his wonderful attributes and contributions to country music, is that he has also been recognized by The American Country Countdown Awards (#ACCAwards) as a nominee for Breakthrough Artist, as well as Country Radio Seminar 2015 (#CRS2015) as a coveted New Faces artist. What this means is, not only has the country music audience paid attention to Cole and recognized his undeniable talent and belonging in the industry, but radio executives and the “powers that be” have, too, taken notice of the gem that Warner Music Nashville has on their roster.
With all that being said, there was still plenty to learn Cole, so we jumped in and educated ourselves on the man behind the hit music (and under the infamous “GS” hat). First of all, while we are on the subject of said “GS” hat, it is important to note that it stands for Georgia State, and Cole is not repping his own merch, as was discussed on Twitter a few weeks ago. Exhibit A:
@AshleyAHelene Too bad that’s a G on my hat… Good eye buddy!

We also found out that Cole is a spitfire on Twitter, with fingers a’blazing and the ability to juggle Jessica Northey’s questions, the Community Questions, and fans’ questions without skipping a beat. It’s no wonder this artist has won the hearts of so many — further substantiation of the wonderful man we already knew we were “Chillin’ It” with today.
What else did we learn? Cole told us what song he wrote that was recorded by another artist that he wishes he cut, his favorite pre-show drink, and who he tends to go to for advice. For the answers to all this and more, read the tweets below.
