#CMchat is excited to announce that we will have Colt Ford for a Twitterview on Monday June 30th at 6pPT/9pET. To participate in the Twitter Chat, just use #CMchat in your tweets or the link right here on our website.
Colt Ford hails from Georgia and started his professional life as a golfer. He later turned to music, influenced by country and hip hop music. Colt released his debut album, Ride Through the Country, in December 2008 on the label which he co-founded, Average Joe’s Entertainment. This album included the singles “No Trash in My Trailer” (a cover of a Gene Watson song) and “Ride Through the Country” (a duet with John Michael Montgomery). He also appeared on a rap remix of Montgomery Gentry’s Number 1 single “Roll with Me.” Colt’s debut album also has guest appearances from country singer Jamey Johnson, as well as Bone Crusher and Jermaine Dupri, Adrian Young of No Doubt and Jeremy Popoff of Lit.
Colt also has writing credits for other artists. He originally recorded the song “Dirt Road Anthem” for his debut album, which was later released by Brantley Gilbert (also a co-writer on the song), and again by Jason Aldean. Additionally, Colt wrote the theme song “Buck ’em” for the Professional Bull Riders Association.
Colt’s second studio album, Chicken & Biscuits, was released in April 2010, following the release of its title track. He also released a third studio album, Every Chance I Get, in May 2011. His fourth album, Declaration of Independence, became his first Number 1 album on Top Country Albums.
Colt is now following up his Number 1 offering with his fifth studio album, Thanks For Listening, which will be released the day after he joins us on #CMchat, July 1st. The disc is a star-studded event, featuring artists such as: Chase Rice, Keith Urban, Jerrod Niemann, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, and Willie Robertson (of Duck Dynasty).
We are so excited to celebrate Colt’s big release with him on Monday night and look forward to seeing you all there!
