Country Artists Show Support for @StJude – Country Music’s #CMchat 7 Quick Clicks

Country music and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have developed quite the beautiful relationship over the last many years. The Memphis, Tennessee-based facility has received visits from many renowned country artists, as well as been provided with generous donations from philanthropic events.

With the nearing of the Nashville Country Music Marathon and Half Marathon benefitting St. Jude and the fact that I am running in the half marathon as a member of Team St. Jude and Team Big 98 (WSIX), I found it rather apropos to look back over the years at some of the wonderful performances by country’s greatest stars in support of the hospital.

If you want to make a donation to my fundraising page to assist with research at St. Jude, you can click here. Every dollar counts and helps the deserving patients of the wonderful hospital receive the care they need. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity!

1. Big & Rich

Big Kenny and John Rich make it no secret that St. Jude is high on their list of organizations they stand behind. In fact, not only have Big & Rich performed at events to benefit the hospital, they have become well known for putting on their very own events in support of St. Jude.

2. Craig Wayne Boyd

Though Craig Wayne Boyd is somewhat new to the spotlight, he has quickly shown his adaptability to being in a role of leadership and inspiration. Craig has already lent his talents in support of St. Jude in order to put a smile on someone’s face.

3. Hunter Hayes

Hunter Hayes knows how much he is admired by younger country music fans and he has proven on several occasions that he is worthy of that adoration. Helping him earn role model status, the musical prodigy has shared his brilliance with St. Jude benefit audiences to raise funds for the patients in Memphis.

4. Randy Houser

Randy Houser wants to show you how country feels, and how country feels is that it is ready, willing, and able to share its love and support with St. Jude, its staff, and those being treated at the hospital.

5. Craig Morgan

Craig Morgan is the type of man to whom you want your children to look up. He is a United States Veteran, having served his country for many years, and he is a charitable soul, often giving back to those in need. It comes as no surprise that Craig is among the artists who have publicly shown their support for St. Jude.

6. Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker is another artist who is recognized for lending his support to many organizations, including St. Jude. At a benefit show that included several other artists (Randy Houser, Cassadee Pope, Frankie Ballard, and Scotty McCreery), he led the crowd in a fun performance of his hit song “Wagon Wheel.”

7. Various Artists (including Randy Owen, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Trace Adkins, Teddy Gentry, and Blackhawk)

What happens when Alabama’s Randy Owen solicits the help of some of his peers in the country music industry? Magic. The star-studded cast of vocalists joined forces to record “Make a Miracle” on behalf of Country Music Cares, and the result was a dream come true.
