On the twenty-third day of Country Music #CMchat’s 25 Days of Country Christmas, we bring to you an acoustic holiday classic performed by Natalie Stovall and the Drive.
Since “Baby Come On With It” was released to country radio earlier this year, Natalie Stovall has been making her mark backed by “the Drive.” She may have some of the biggest hair in country music, but the only thing bigger than Natalie’s hair is her voice. We here at Country Music #CMchat have been fans of Natalie Stovall and the Drive since the beginning – check out the #CMchat Twitterview we did by clicking here.
“Mary Did You Know” has become a Christmas favorite since Christian artist, Michael English, debuted the track in 1991. Country versions have been recorded by Reba, Scotty McCreery, Kenny Rogers & Wynonna Judd, and Rascal Flatts.
Natalie Stovall and the Drive recently took the Country Now stage to do an acoustic set. Armed with a fiddle, three guitars, and a cajón (box drum), the group performed one of the most captivating versions of “Mary Did You Know” I have ever heard. Natalie is able to captivate large crowds with the power of her voice and her stage presence, but she is able to captivate in the same way with the soul and vulnerability in this acoustic track.
