7 Quick Clicks: Hidden Gem Country Songs

In today’s mainstream country it seems songs get released to radio almost daily. For me, it isn’t about what I hear on the radio as some of the best songs never make it to the airwaves. These 7 songs are sure to upgrade your playlist as well as put you in the presence of real music.

1.Craig Campbell – That’s Why God Made A Front Porch

Craig Campbell is one of the best songwriters out there. He is brilliantly driven to make some of the best music to ever grace my ears. This song resonates true country music.

2. Luke Bryan – Buddies

Co-written by Dallas Davidson, this song hasn’t been heard too often but it sure needs to be. It’s lyrically endearing as well as durable as far as melody is concerned. It’s truly a hidden gem.

3. Greg Bates – Brothers

The majority of country music fans will know this artist from his hit song “Did It For The Girl” but that’s not the only track that makes Bates a remarkable songwriter. This song is truly powerful and a must hear.

4. Josh Thompson – Always Been Me

Another outstanding songwriter, Josh Thompson has so many hidden gems that never made it to the radio. This song happens to be one of my favorites. I relate to this one a great deal.

5. Brian Davis – Against The World

Although Brian Davis isn’t exactly on country radio, he has co-wrote a lot of songs that you hear today. He is raw and incredibly real. This song is extremely well-written and one of the finest ballads I have heard. This song is definitely a jewel.

6. Luke Combs – This Ones For You

A newer artist who hasn’t yet made a impact, Luke Combs has proven to be vocally tenacious and perfectly capable of writing a damn good song. This song exhibits true artistry and well crafted talent.

7. Mickey Guyton – Unbreakable

Soulful and stunning are just a few ways you can describe Mickey Guyton. She is most certainly making a name for herself in country music. This song has yet to be heard on country radio, although I think it’s a good possibility that it will happen. I do believe it could be a hit single. A well-made track with great meaning. It’s indeed a ruby.
