With the landscape of country music expanding constantly, Dee Jay Silver brings a new feature – club music. This time, you don’t need to leave your house! Silver is bringing the Country Club to you with a four-song EP full of songs that you know and love (with a new twist).
Dee Jay Silver takes songs such as “Two Black Cadillacs” (Carrie Underwood) and “Dixieland Delight” (Alabama) and is able to mix them with tracks by Dolly Parton or The Nappy Roots to provide a new listening experience. He also has taken hits like “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” (Jake Owen) and “Angel Eyes” (Love and Theft) and just puts a twist with new beats and other Dee Jay Silver magic to create a whole new song.
I’m not going to lie – I was reluctant when I heard the song list that Silver was working with. After giving the EP a listen (or three) I am still pleasantly surprised at what Dee Jay Silver has brought to the table with this EP. His mix of “Two Black Cadillacs” with “Jolene” is ranking right up with the originals in my book. I also have grown to love the version of “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” that he has produced.
The EP is great for a Friday night dance party or just everyday listening. You don’t need to go far for this Country Club, though. The EP is available on Amazon and iTunes for only $3.99! Even if you aren’t planning to purchase the entire EP, be sure to give it a listen. I can’t wait to see what we see next from Dee Jay Silver!
