Music promotes healing from within and nurtures hope for a blessed future. Singer Dennie Hall’s new single, “Painkiller” features Camille Rae, focuses on encouraging those who struggle with substance abuse and CMchat is premiering the song right here.
“You have to push beyond the hard times to reach the better. When I first heard this song I wasn’t sold on recording it. I then thought about how this song could help one person or maybe more. I think lots of people will relate to this song because everyone has experienced happiness walk out of their life in some shape or form… love, a job opportunity, whatever have you… but abusing a substance won’t fix the situation.”
For every download of “Painkiller,” 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Cross Link Community Church’s Celebrate Recovery in Hall’s hometown of Grove City, Ohio, to raise awareness about depression and alcohol/drug abuse. The program was designed to help those struggling by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.
Co-written by Greg Barnhill, Stephen Pasch, and Kristian Bergsnes, the song’s video is in the final stages of production and expected to be released this summer.
Hall is currently part of a Kickstarter campaign to fund the recording of a full EP/and or album that will include “Painkiller.”
“It is with the donated amount received from this Kickstarter campaign that I will secure the recording, production, mixing and mastering, of a full EP and/or album as well as photography and digital design for the project. My new single “Painkiller” is currently being pushed and promoted to country radio and will be included in this body of work…The challenge I face with this project is strictly financial, as I have a complete team of professional musicians and industry executives who support my vision at Break The Cycle Entertainment. The cost that goes into making a record can add up quickly and to further promote your craft via radio is where financial stability definitely comes into play. I am asking folks to please join this journey with me and contribute to my dream. Music is a gift and that gift makes a difference by reflecting and connecting us all.”
Last year, Hall released the single “Hollerwood” featuring Taya Parker.
“The song takes us all on a ride to a party place called Hollerwood! From fishing to skinny dipping to just down right hillbilly fun is what “Hollerwood” is all about.”
The single landed at #94 on MusicRow’s Country Breakout Chart.
