The country music gods have spoken and we should all bow down to Eric Church after his Bridgestone Arena attendance record-breaking concert in Nashville, Tennessee. On Saturday night, January 10th, Church welcomed 18,411 fans to his Music City stop of The Outsiders World Tour, shattering the previous Bridgestone Arena attendance record, which was set in February 2006 by The Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
It comes as no surprise that this bonafide country music “Chief”
would experience such success, considering the outpouring of accolades and support he has received over his musical career; especially as of late. Not only was Church’s 2014 album The Outsiders one of only two country albums to achieve RIAA Platinum certification
last year, but the album also had the top-selling debut week of any other album in 2014. Church also garnered four Grammy nominations, including Best Country Song (“Give Me Back My Hometown”
) and Best Country Album.
Church will continue The Outsiders World Tour on Wednesday, January 14th, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Ford Center. The remainder of Church’s tour dates are as follows:
