Florida Georgia Line

The hit songwriting, song-singing, award-winning duo, Florida Georgia Line, has a lot of impressive statistics on its resume. Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, the two talented individuals who make up one of country music’s winningest twosomes in the history of the genre, have taken home CMAs, CMTs, ACMs, BBMAs, AMAs, TCAs, and were just named CMT Artists of the Year. Now, the guys who hail from neighboring states can add Country Music #CMchat Twitterview guests to their laundry list of accomplishments!

We welcomed Kelley and Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line to our virtual stage with open arms, excited to celebrate their next big venture — awards show hosts. This will also be checked off their list on Monday night, December 15th, when the two take the microphones at the Inaugural American Country Countdown Awards, brought to you by dick clark productions, inc. and sponsored by Samsung Galaxy. We couldn’t wait to hear from them what they were most looking forward to about taking on their new roles in country music, as well as whether they have plans to move forward with hosting (and possibly acting) gigs following Monday night’s festivities.

Before our chat, we realized that Twitter was likely going to never know what hit it, as we expected fans from around the world to “cruise” in for a half hour “stay”. Of course, we knew that the guys would show up “’round here” (not in a “sun daze”) to talk to us about their love for country music and how the two found one another and created magic as a pair, but we also were eager to hear about their preparations for The ACC Awards.

As we anticipated, Florida Georgia Line brought down the digital Twitter roof during our thirty minutes with them — anticipated because, quite frankly, “this is how we roll” at #CMchat. Not only did we learn that the guys love spending time with their families, we got the “dirt” on how the Florida and Georgia residents could possibly get along on Florida/Georgia game days! The answer to that is Brian is a Florida STATE fan, not a Florida fan, so that rivalry doesn’t harm their brotherhood.

In case you missed Jessica Northey and Team #CMchat’s Twitterview with Kelley and Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, read the tweets below. It will be just like you were there when it happened!

Thank you to Florida Georgia Line for joining us, and good luck on Monday night at The American Country Countdown Awards! “Get your shine on” boys!
