Single Review: Florida Georgia Line – H.O.L.Y.

Republic Nashville duo Florida Georgia Line has released their latest single “H.O.L.Y.” which stands for high on loving you. This will be their first single from their highly anticipated album Dig Your Roots which is rumored to be released in August.

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard deliver a piano based ballad that not only showcases their growth, but maturity as well. Although the single was written by Nate Cyphent, William Larsen and Mike Busbee it’s a perfect upgrade for the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year.

The single is packed full of fresh metaphors as well as personal happenings and does not lack in sincerity. A strong and memorable melody unfolds from the beginning to the end and carries listeners through the poetic lyrics. The song is an ode to the woman in a man’s life who “saves” him. Kelley and Hubbard also included their wives in the music video to add a final intimate touch.

“H.O.L.Y.” is the beginning of a new chapter for Florida Georgia Line as they set a new bar for their future. Although cynics will deny the progress of the duo, it’s evident that they are moving in a new direction with an entirely new passion and direction for their music. A remarkable avenue for the outlandish duo, this single displays everything that they are capable of and so much more.
