It was only a couple of months ago when Florida Georgia Line released “Sippin’ on Fire,” the third single off its album Anything Goes. Since then, the song has climbed into the Top 20, showing no sign of extinguishing the flame it has ignited from the date of its official release.
Today, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard exclusively set fire to Vevo with the premiere of their newest video for the song that begs for an honest encounter with a person who you can’t get off your mind. Turning the figurative fire into something more literal, the award-winning duo spends the duration of the video in the mountainous desert, accompanied by the beating of a strong sun. As the hot day draws to a close, a ring of fire blazes around Florida Georgia Line and its band, alternating between performance shots of the group and the union of a man and a woman, each of whom mysteriously emerges from a dust storm.
Though the video itself appears rather simple, the special effects prove otherwise, morphing the mystery couple into vanishing objects consumed by the engulfing ring of fire that surrounds the dynamic duo.
If “Sippin’ on Fire” continues on the same track as its Anything Goes predecessors, it won’t be long before it burns up the Billboard chart and claims the coveted top spot. Something tells us here at Country Music’s #CMchat that this will be the eventual outcome for the men with the King Midas touch.
