While Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line were busy getting their “Sun Daze” on, lacing their J’s, and laying some Jack in their Coke, their second single off Anything Goes was steadily climbing the charts. The Gold-certified single ended last week at the top of the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts, marking their sixth Number 1 to date.
In discussing the duo’s latest hit song, Brian Kelley stated:
We are real proud of “Sun Daze” because that song came about so late in the game. It was one of the last ballpark tour dates we did with Nelly, but we were still finishing up the album and inspired to write that day. We thought we pretty much had every song we wanted but this one definitely kicked one of the songs off. It shows that right down to the wire you need to keep writing and stay in your creative zone. We knew we had something special.
We can’t begin to thank country radio and our fans enough for all of the support for our music and what we do. We have been beyond blessed the past few years and know that we wouldn’t be here without you. Can’t wait to see everyone out on the road!
