I feel like this joke almost writes itself, but today Mountain Dew announced a national partnership with country’s hottest duo Florida Georgia Line. This move establishes the beverage brand as a sponsor of the 2015 ANYTHING GOES worldwide headlining tour. And it also means, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are now proud members of DEW NATION.
According to Mountain Dew, they have pushed conventional boundaries and instigated cultural shifts as a brand. In fact, they consider it the core of the brand. So, naturally, they admired the fact that “Florida Georgia Line’s unique sound has progressed country music and transcended traditional country music audiences since they first hit the scene.”
Truthfully, I think this is a match made in heaven. And a smart marketing move on both ends.
