Florida Georgia Line vs. A Thousand Horses ‘Smoke and Fire’ Battle #DigitalDuel

Every week in Country Music #CMchat’s #DigitalDuel we will be featuring two songs for you to vote on. The songs might be related, might be different covers, or have no relation at all. Once they’re posted, it’s up to you – the fans – to spread the word and hash it out to win the #DigitalDuel. Simple enough?

Here’s your new challenge:

Florida Georgia Line “Sippin’ On Fire” vs. A Thousand Horses “Smoke” – ‘Smoke and Fire’ Battle

In her review of the new Florida Georgia Line single, Country Music #CMchat’s Jen Swirsky said, “whatever Florida Georgia Line is selling, fans, the industry, and radio executives are buying, so they must be doing something right.” That hasn’t been more true since their massive success of “Cruise” back in 2012. “Sippin’ On Fire” is the latest attempt to race to the front of the charts. It’s no surprise that the song is already heating up. Check out the lyric video and vote below in the ‘Smoke and Fire’ Battle:

Recently signed group A Thousand Horses is already set to release a debut CD in a few months. To hype up the release of Southernality has spawned the release and minor success of their first single, “Smoke.” The country/southern rock blend is unique to the group and bound to seperate their sound from modern country radio. Is this song your pick in this #DigitalDuel? Vote below the video.

“Sippin’ on Fire” and “Smoke” both bring the heat to country radio through their own interpretations of country. One act is on their way to superstardom, whereas the other is just starting out. The vote for this battle is in your hands. Who will be crowned the winner in this head-to-head battle? Vote for your pick in this week’s #DigitalDuel.
