Country Starlet Adley Stump (“The Voice”/#TeamBlake on NBC) playfully tweeted on Saturday around 7:52pm CT that she was going to steal a country music star’s car in celebration of her debut single, “Like This” if she received 100 retweets. Within an hour Stump had over 150.

“I was kind of kidding, but now I am turning this whole thing into a prank for my web series, ‘Get Stumped’. I love the whole new trend of “Prankvertising” in the media to get fans involved in sharing independent country music.”
Stump says she was thinking about how to promote her latest independently released single (she is releasing 4 songs every 4 months to fans) and came up with the idea. She wanted to give fans a reason to spread the word and to reward them by doing something on camera that, “anyone would want to see someone do… something exciting and a little outrageous.”
“As an independent artist in today’s music market, we have to think outside the box and think viral. I incentivize my fans to spread the word instead of begging them. I invite them to be a part of a story,” Stump said.
It is unknown whose car is in Stump’s crosshairs this week but she says, “I have a plan… I guess fans will just have to follow along this week to see what happens!”
