#Flyaway to See #GarthBrooks in #Chicago This Weekend!

Country Music Chat/#CMchat is excited to announce that we have a very special giveaway for our amazing fans, followers, and friends. Because we’ve got friends in low places around here, we were given the opportunity to give away a “Garth Brooks Experience” to one very lucky person (and a guest) to fly to Chicago, MEET GARTH, ask him questions, and attend his sold-out September 5th show. It doesn’t get better than this, folks!

So, how do you enter? It’s easy! Leave us a comment HERE on this post and tell us WHY you want to fly away to see Garth live, in person, this Friday night, September 5th, in Chicago. Please note the winner must confirm his or her availability to attend the show in order to accept the prize. A winner will be randomly selected by 3pmPT/6pmET tomorrow, September 2nd, so make sure you’re not standing outside the fire and that you act fast!

The winner will also be featured here on CMchatLIVE.com, providing a guest write-up of his or her experience, including the questions he or she asked Garth and his answers to those questions. We can’t wait to see what our winner has to share with our readers and are excited to virtually be involved in this experience!

The contest opens NOW, so share with us your reason for wanting to jet set to Chicago this weekend to see Garth Brooks LIVE and you may very well be on your way there! We promise this prize will be so much more than a memory for you!

***Airfare and hotel are included for the winner and his or her guest***

Comments in an attempt to enter this contest will only count if submitted through CMchatLIVE.com.

  1. ^She deserves it!

  2. Pick me, pick me! Chicago is my hometown and Friday is my birthday! What better way to spend next Friday than with Garth and thousands of my closest friends! 🙂

  3. I want to enter so I can give the chance to meet Garth for my friend Becky she is a lifetime
Fan she is going to all 11 shows if thats not devotion not sure what is.

  4. I would love to have this opportunity for a few reasons! One, as an upcoming country music blogger I would love the chance to brush up on my "interviewing" skills. Two, I'm familiar with CM Chat and to represent such an amazing team would be incredible. Three, I have not seen Garth Brooks in concert yet but am I extremely excited he is back to touring so I can see him! To win this contest make so many of my dreams come true and I know CM Chat would be proud of how I'd present y'all! Fly me out there on Friday, I can go!

  5. I would love to win this trip because my best friends live in the area and are going to the shows and I would love to be able to meet up and go with them… And help my friend Becky be able to meet the man, GARTH!!

  6. Oh My Gosh! I would love to fly away and see Garth! One of my great friends lives in Chicago, it would be a perfect opportunity to catch up with her!! Yay, pick me!

  7. I MUST win this. My friend Becky Garcia Barrus is without a doubt the biggest Garth fan alive. She's also the best friend – she is always willing to help and doesn't even think twice about it. I TOTALLY owe her – she got crazy good seats for my daughters to go see One Direction…I HAVE to one-up her and take her to meet Garth or else I'll owe her one forever!!! 😀 Nothing would make me happier than to be able to introduce Becky to Garth and make her dream come true.

  8. I have loved garth since before I can even remember, and would love the opportunity to be able to actually meet him. I have been anxiously awaiting for years for him to finally tour again.

  9. I would like to nominate my dad for this contest. My dad coached Garth at Yukon High School and it would mean the world to him to reconnect!

  10. Garth is great.(bags packed)

  11. I want to go see Garth because he is my all time favorite

  12. Yes!
Then I can tick off two bucket list items! Garth and Chicago!!!

  13. Oh my goodness!! I have been a huge Garth fan since I was 2 years old, I am not 27! My parents have incredibly embarassing vidoes of me singing his songs as a toddler. I have dreamed of seeing him in concert my whole life but everytime he was playing near us my parents said no, or it just wasn't in the budget for us. Then when I was able to afford it he retired (boo!). This would be an amazing dream come true!!

  14. Getting to go see Garth Brooks would literally be the greatest experience of my life. Garth has been a huge influence on my life as I grew up near Stillwater, Oklahoma. Some of my first memories are demanding that my family put Garth cassette tapes in while we were traveling. Walking by Garth landmarks while going to Oklahoma State, learning personal “Garth stories” from people that knew him, and hearing an old 1986 recording of him playing at Willie’s Saloon in Stillwater has brought my Garth fandom to a fan-boy level (Ha!). In my twenty-two years of life I have yet to see a true Garth concert because of his retirement and getting the opportunity to not only see him, but also meet him would be an incredible blessing. I own all of the DVD’s, CD’s and probably have them on too much, but hey, Garth is THE man. It would be amazing to win, but sharing it with someone who has done so much for my life would mean even more to me.

My good friend may even be a bigger Garth fan than I. My former youth pastor, Colt and I have had multiple “Garth Nights” over the last few years where we watch DVD’s and breakout in random performances to the chagrin of the others in the room. Recently, Colt has taken me in, as I have had to wait a few weeks to move into a new home while I relocate. He’s treated me like family for the entire time we’ve known each other and he’s had a massive impact on the man I have become. I could write a novel about the countless acts of selflessness he’s displayed to people and for that reason I would love to be able to pay him back with this awesome experience. The only thing cooler than being able to see Garth Brooks in Chicago would to be able to share those moments with Colt.

I hope Colt and I would be in your consideration for this once in a lifetime experience to see the greatest entertainer on the planet!

  16. Hey Jen! Other than the fact that you and Jessica are killing the country scene with #CMchat, I would LOVE to go see Garth on Friday!! I'm a HUGE country music fan-so much that I can't wait to live out my dreams in Nashville and work in the industry! I have been to many concerts- but never Garth. We all know, he is the man. Period. Friday is actually my mom's birthday and she will be turning 52!! She is my biggest hero!! She is a single parent and has raised me by herself her entire life. She has never asked questions and has always done what she had to do to provide for me, no matter what. She even went as far as going back to school at the age of 48 to become a nurse!! She worked full time and went to nursing school so she could change careers and better herself- I will never forget the moment she walked across that stage or got pinned I should say. She is now a RN at our local hospital and she's amazing!! She is a true rockstar in my eyes! She is also my concert buddy! We have been to numerous concerts over the years and she is always right there by my side. We love the music and we talk country music all the time! I wouldn't want to experience it with anyone else! With this being said, I would love to surprise her with this trip for her birthday because to me, nobody deserves it more than she does. She gives the shirt off her back daily and has my entire 24 years on this Earth and she deserves it. So, please pick us!!! We would love to go! Even if we don't win, I'm just want the world to know that my mom is a true blessing and a hero! Thank you for this opportunity to try and win though! It's great for your fans!! Thanks #CMchat – Taylor Davids

  17. I would love the chance to be able to meet my hero and my favorite entertainer!! I have ALL of his CDs, three copies of each and ALL unopened!! I'm a very big big fan of his and would love to see him live and in person!!!! Please consider me for this experience!!! Thank you so so much!!!

  18. Hello there I want tio say Nice & Beautiful foto of Garth Brooks it's so mellow & fit's him just rite & the reason i want to Fly out & see Handsome Garth Brooks is Because my mom & i love him huge fans but really main reason is because she wanted to go see him in concert & she purchased the ticket but unfortunatly it did not go that way as Planed because she had Passed away a few weeks before his Concert it would mean alot to her if i was to go so she can see it i just want to give my mom her 1 & only dream she ever wanted to come true thanks

  19. well if i was to comment here on the foto and say why i want to go see Garth Brooks i commented on the comment’s Above does that still count

  20. I’d love to win so I could fly the love of my life here to see her, and good ol’ Garthy.

  21. My sister and I have dreamed of seeing him, never have. We're from the Detroit area and could fly right over 😉
I'd have to ask him about new songs, or memorable things from touring or Vegas. What he's got planned for big tour surprises this year. We'll be singing along really loud from wherever we are that night, even if it's from across Lake MI here in Detroit.

  22. How awesome is this? Saw him at Texas Tech in the early, early '90's before he was "GARTH BROOKS" when he played in Lubbock…so we go way back! I wish I'd seen him play baseball – HA! Saw him in Houston a few years ago…my wife was in love with him (she still is, but she's not as vocal about it as she used to be). It would be incredible for her to get a chance to meet him–I'll take a chance she won't run off with him…besides, after 22 years of marriage I can always use as may brownie points as I can get! We're so glad he's coming back, but I totally respect him for dropping out of the spotlight to raise his girls. Remember: Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered (and every once in a while "answered") prayers!

  23. I would love for you to pick me to send to see Garth Brooks just because he’s awesome and I’d love to go! Plus I’m trying to plan a fundraiser in Chicago, have never been there, and what better opportunity to explore the town than to go there to see Garth Brooks! It’d be perfect 🙂

  24. I seen him when I was along haired stoner about 14, hated country music,(at least I didn’t appreciate it like I should have.) Long story short,…. I listen to country still to this day cause he proved to me he could rock that stage better and with more heart then what is witnessed by anyone before. Thanks to Garth and his music, I was able to call the non hippie liking girl, mine.

  25. I would love for you to pick me to send to see Garth Brooks just because he's awesome and I'd love to go! Plus I'm trying to plan a fundraiser in Chicago. I have never been there, and what better opportunity to explore the town than to go there to see Garth Brooks! It'd be perfect 🙂

  26. I would love to win because Garth is one of my husband's favorite performers and although we never got to see him together while he was still alive, I would love to see him because it brings back wonderful memories of my husband! The last song we ever danced to was The Dance!

  27. Garth Brooks has been on my bucket list since I was tiny little girl singing along to all of his songs on the radio. I was a 90's kid so mostly all I've known my whole life is Garth Brooks music. He is on my top 3 of people to meet and see before I die. The only other 2 I have on that list are George Straight and Gwen Stefani (very different I know). When he went away on retirement I thought I would never be able to experience the greatness that is Garth Brooks. winning this trip would give me the chance to get my bucket list going and have 1/3 of it done! It also would make the 8 year in me cry like a baby!

  28. I have seen Garth’s show since he did five shows in Lincoln Nebraska in September of 1997 and it’s was Best show I’ve seen in many M00N’s . I’ve been told that I’ve look like Garth I’ve had some young ladies at the local honky tonk tell me this & ask for my autograph , but that’s been a few years ago. I like the song Shamless , the Dance and always Friends in Low Places the best in country music next to George Strait…

  29. Big Garth Fan & would cherish this opportunity. Would be one memorable night there is no doubt about that! He is a true performer and only sit with fingers crossed!!

  30. It would be the BEST way to spend our 22nd wedding anniversary! (Sept 5, 1992).

  31. I've followed Garth before he was a household name–back to when he played college bars and clubs around OSU. I'd LOVE to do a mini-feature for CMCHAT–using the interview and some little-known bacstory facts if you're interested! Thanks for all you do!
