Last night (February 6) was Jay Leno’s final episode of “The Tonight Show“, and what better way to end it with Garth Brooks being the last performance.
Leno had a 22 year long run and Brooks had appeared many times on the show before. Garth would bid farewell to Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show” by calling Jay “the dearest friend to entertainment” and playing one of the country superstar’s most famous songs “The Dance” at Leno’s request.
Brooks went on to say before peroming, “If you were an entertainer and needed a friend and a way to the people, you were always it,” Brooks said. “I love you with all my heart.”
After performing the classic ballad, Brooks then closed out the final episode with “Friends in Low Places” that had everyone including Leno enjoying themselves.
