Garth Brooks Makes Big Announcement … Finally!

After much anticipation, Garth Brooks finally held a press conference to make his HUGE announcement (previously postponed from July 7th). What did you predict? A world tour? A new album? A deal with iTunes? A legal name change to Chris Gaines?

So, what was the announcement that caused me an incredible amount of eagerness over the last week? Drumroll please ……….

Garth has entered into a record deal with Sony Music. Garth considers himself “very lucky” to work with Sony and RCA Nashville. He also stated that he feels “scared … and old.” Garth promises that new music is coming along with this deal. Though he is keeping a release date under wraps, he teased that it should be in the next two months. Garth also mentioned that a new album could potentially hit shelves around Black Friday.

Garth also announced that he will be going digital with his music … finally! You can expect his music to hit the internet in the next two to three weeks EXCLUSIVELY on garthbrooks.com.

Lastly, Garth will be going out on a world tour! Tour dates will be announced as soon as they are in stone, but will be shared with “Andy” from Las Vegas on July 14th. For the record, I’m changing my name to Andy and moving to Vegas. Tour and ticket information will be made available on garthbrooks.com as well.
