For the faint at heart, don’t say we didn’t warn you that this day was drawing near. The group that emerged in 1994, making its Late Show with David Letterman debut that year, has decided to once again hold hands, reuniting as part of Letterman’s career sendoff.
That’s right. Hootie & the Blowfish (with lead vocalist Darius Rucker) returned to the CBS studios to perform together in honor of the man with the significantly decorated history as a nighttime talk show host. The group reunited on Thursday night, April 30th, and sang its 1994 debut single “Hold My Hand,” creating a moment that the members later referred to on Twitter as “#TBToverload”.
