Proving that he can deliver an energetic live performance and engage fans nationwide, Jake Owen, officially announced his Days of Gold Tour 2014 which begins in March. However, its his softer side that brought him, along with an all star line up of musicians together, to play an acoustic set for a wonderful cause.
Jake Owen along with Frankie Ballard, Jana Kramer, Paul Overstreet, Jason Sturgeon, IIya Toshinsky, Scotty Emerick, Josh Osborne, Ben Bradford and Oliva Lane met together at the famed Ice House in Louisville to play a show to benefit the Kids Cancer Alliance. The show was hosted by Chris Blair, owner of “Listening Room” and was performed in a round style setting, sharing stories, laughs, and some pure acoustic music. Organizers put together a live and silent auction and had country music’s favorite, Dee Jay Silver, on hand to turn the party up a notch during an after party.
Together they raised over $200000 for Kids Cancer Alliance, one of the very first camps for children with cancer in the United States. They have expanded their program to include families noting the need for more support services there. They provide sibling camps, family retreats, hospital programs, financial support and more. www.kidscanceralliance.org.
