The Jason Aldean news keeps flowing in, as the man who recently moved 278,000 copies of Old Boots, New Dirt in his first week of sales and extended his highly acclaimed (and venue-filling) tour is one of the hottest commodities in the music industry. Apparently legendary rocker Bob Seger echoes the sentiment of Aldean’s impact on music, as Seger signed on to join the chart-topper for a CMT Crossroads event.
While a specific air date has not yet been announced (though the show is expected to premiere later this year), the invitation-only taping will take place next Tuesday, October 28th, in Franklin, Tennessee. Audience members and those who tune into CMT for the special event can expect the two artists to swap personal stories in between collaborations on some of their biggest hits.
Only a week ago, Aldean took to social media to share his enthusiasm about his idol, Seger, making an appearance at the Detroit leg of the Burnin’ It Down Tour. It seems as though his Crossroads partner has taken quite the interest in Aldean … join the club, Mr. Seger.
