The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recognized Jason Aldean as the Top Male Country Artist in the history of RIAA’s Digital Gold & Platinum Awards. To date, Jason has accumulated over 21.5 million RIAA digital single certifications, which include song downloads and on-demand streams.
On the great success of Jason Aldean, RIAA’s Chairman and CEO, Cary Sherman, stated, “On behalf of myself and my RIAA colleagues, we are delighted to recognize Jason Aldean for this prestigious honor. We congratulate Broken Bow Records and Jason on this singular achievement and look forward to many more years of great country music to come.”
Upon being recognized for this accomplishment, Jason exclaimed:
This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together. I love country music, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else…there was never a Plan B for me. I can’t thank the RIAA or country music fans enough for helping us get to this level…it’s unbelievable!
Last week, Jason’s smoking new single “Burnin’ It Down” ranked as the top selling single in the country in all genres and marked his biggest career debut ever at country radio.
