August 26th, 2017 was a big day for Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. Fans poured in from all over to see Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour– a sold out show. One of the hottest venues in the DMV, Jiffy Lube Live was the place to be for everyone who loves country music that day.
Sony Music Nashville’s Kane Brown was highly anticipated. His social media hype makes him one of the most popular country music artists to date. He’s in his own lane! He has quite the baritone voice with a dash of pop flair, Brown has changed the game totally. Brown opened strong with “Pull It Off” and flowed freely into “There Goes My Everything.” His stage presence is striking and natural. His fan base is one of the strongest and biggest within country music. The Kane Train runs strong and when you see him perform, you can see why. He is confident and well crafted. His vocals poured out well during tracks such as “Thunder in the Rain” and yet his passion can be seen while performing songs like “What Ifs.” He is young and vastly talented. We need someone like him in country music and trust me when I say, he is here to stay.
Chris Young is talented yet highly underrated. Although he does very well regarding radio, he tends to slide under the radar as far as awards are concerned. His music is some of the best music out there. His live performance is one of the strongest I’ve witnessed. He doesn’t need gimmicks or anything that distracts from the music (or his raw talent!) Young’s set included songs such as “Gettin’ You Home” and “Voices.” Also, his newer hits like “Sober Saturday Night” and “I’m Comin’ Over.” His deep baritone vocals paired with his superior guitar skills make for one hell of a show. Young fits perfectly within this tour and he adds an array of talent to the show.
Opening act and Broken Bow recording artist Jason Aldean was, of course, the high light of the evening. Aldean has a massive stage presence. He is rather intriguing. When you mix talent with charisma, boy that’s a dangerous mix. He came out strong with his new single “They Don’t Know” and sailed through the rest of his set with songs like “Johnny Cash” and “Any Ol’ Barstool.” Aldean is one of the biggest stars in country music. His tour shows off many years of talent and hard work. He is a beast on stage. This tour was jam packed with talent but also entertainment. When Aldean performs, it’s entertaining. A sold out show, and each person got their money’s worth.
They Don’t Know Tour is one of the most entertaining tours of this year. It’s a creation of country music and authenticity. It’s growth and inspiration. Most importantly, it’s music- amazing music. Do yourself a favor and check out a tour near you. You won’t regret it!
