What’s better than the combination of Jennifer Nettles, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, and the Grand Ole Opry stage? If you answered “nothing,” you would be correct! On June 3rd, Jennifer took the Opry (#CMchattys #MustFollowVenue) stage and performed the opening verse and chorus of one of Dolly’s infamous tracks, “9 to 5.” Surprising the crowd, Jennifer introduced Carrie to come join her on stage, turning the solo act into a power-punching duet by two of the strongest female vocalists in country music.
As the ode to Dolly came to an end, Carrie observed that the performance was “not bad for no rehearsal!” We agree, Carrie. This partnership is certainly not “somethin’ bad,” whatsoever!
