[email protected] and @CarrieUnderwood Are Working “9 to 5” at the Opry (Watch!)

What’s better than the combination of Jennifer Nettles, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, and the Grand Ole Opry stage? If you answered “nothing,” you would be correct! On June 3rd, Jennifer took the Opry (#CMchattys #MustFollowVenue) stage and performed the opening verse and chorus of one of Dolly’s infamous tracks, “9 to 5.” Surprising the crowd, Jennifer introduced Carrie to come join her on stage, turning the solo act into a power-punching duet by two of the strongest female vocalists in country music.

As the ode to Dolly came to an end, Carrie observed that the performance was “not bad for no rehearsal!” We agree, Carrie. This partnership is certainly not “somethin’ bad,” whatsoever!

To watch Jennifer and Carrie conquer Dolly’s song, watch the video below:

*Jennifer Nettles, formerly of the duo Sugarland, is a guest artist of the Grand Ole Opry.

*Carrie Underwood has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008. She has two upcoming Opry performances on July 25th.

*Dolly Parton has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1969.

*”The Opry, an American icon and Nashville, Tennessee’s number-one attraction, is world-famous for creating one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages. It’s been called the “home of American music” and “country’s most famous stage.” Every year, hundreds of thousands of people make pilgrimages across town or around the world to the Grand Ole Opry to see the show live. Millions more tune in to Opry broadcasts via a mobile app, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Nashville’s 650 AM WSM, and on opry.com and wsmonline.com.”
