It’s a big day for country newcomer and Chipotle lover Joel Crouse, whose debut album Even the River Runs was released on Show Dog – Universal Music. The album, produced by Jamie Houston, includes current single “Don’t Tell Me,” as well as fan-favorites “If You Want Some” and “Why God Made Love Songs.”
Every song on the album was co-written by Crouse, who was determined to share all facets of his personal journey. “My songs will always be about honest experience,” he said. “I always want to be the one telling my story.”
Prior to the album hitting iTunes, Crouse tweeted about his mix of excitement and anxiety:

However, hours later, it was all smiles for Crouse who was overwhelmed with the early response to his debut project.
You guys are amazing really a dream come true. Damn — Joel Crouse (@JoelCrouse) August 19, 2014
It wasn’t just Crouse who was excited about the album release, as Lucy Hale officially declared August 19th “Joel Crouse Day” on her Instagram.
Crouse’s album spans sounds, ranging from his personal favorite “Ruby Puts Her Dress Dress On” to the mid-tempo “You Could Break A Heart Like That” to the twangy “If You Want Some.”
He’ll be celebrating the release of his new album with a live performance and autograph signing at the Grand Ole Opry before joining Love And Theft on the Night That You’ll Never Forget Tour, kicking off in October.
