Country music duo, Maddie & Tae, may be new to the industry, but have burst on to the scene with a bang. Their song, “Girl in a Country Song,” broke into the Top 10 on Billboard’s US Hot Country Songs and US Country Airplay, and has received critical acclaim from peers and powers that be in the music industry. Maddie & Tae’s self-titled debut EP will be released on November 4th, and Country Music #CMchat is thrilled to announce that we will be spending one hour with the girls on the night of their EP release for a Twitterview! Join us here on Tuesday night, November 4th, at 5pPT/8pET as Maddie & Tae celebrate their big day with our community.

ABOUT MADDIE & TAE

Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye may be from two different states (Texas and Oklahoma respectively), but they were fortunate enough to share a vocal coach who saw the potential in each young girl and made a life-changing introduction. At the age of fifteen, the two joined forces and began working with Big Machine Label Group’s songwriter Aaron Scherz. Once Maddie & Tae graduated from high school, they made the move to Music City to pursue a career in country music. In 2014, the girls became the first signees of Big Machine’s subsidiary label, Dot Records, and released their hit song “Girl in a Country Song” (which they wrote with Scherz and was produced by Dann Huff). With a Top 10 hit under their belts and an EP on the way, Country Music #CMchat has no doubt that these girls are about to have a hand in changing country music’s today and creating a brighter tomorrow.
