Country Music’s hidden gem, Jordan Rager, has a new single via Broken Bow Records. “Now That I Know Your Name” is a light-hearted, charming ditty that showcases Rager’s southern gentlemen side.
“Now That I Know Your Name”, which hits country radio September 19th was co-written with Country Music hitmakers such as Jeremy Stover, Chris Janson and Jason Gantt. It’s the follow-up to Rager’s top 40 single “Southern Boy” which features Jason Aldean.
Rager’s smooth vocals flow effortlessly over the midtempo track singing “Are you a Ford or a Chevy girl? Tell me, does country music rock your world? Where’d ya get the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen? Wanna split baby right now what you think? I just gotta know everything, now that I know your name.”
The 22-year-old Georgia native leans more toward traditional country sound but still has enough mainstream style to appeal to the masses. Rager is a crafted songwriter, so writing a good song is his specialty. The track is pleasing and good-natured. Rager is not interested in how short her dress is or how far she is willing to go, he is just interested in getting to know a person, for who they are. It’s refreshing and sets a different trend for country music hat dates back to when country music was first created.
Rager is also set to join the “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” Tour with Kane Brown this fall/winter. For those who aren’t familiar with his music, you will be soon.
