Jordan Rager Impresses With New EP Southern Boy

Georgia boy Jordan Rager made waves when he auditioned for The Voice Season 2 and was chosen for Team Blake. It was also a massive career change when he joined Justin Moore during the Off The Beaten Path Tour.

Jordan Rager has impressed his listeners with his brand of youthful country and is set to release his debut EP via Broken Bow Records titled Southern Boy on October 28th. It’s a four-track album that will be available digitally. The 22-year-old talent has proven you can be young and remain country.

The title track is a mid-tempo song that includes country music superstar Jason Aldean. It’s a country boy’s anthem at its best. It’s witty and personable. The two artists blend together almost perfectly. Then you have his latest single “Now That I Know Your Name.” It’s a good-natured track that tells the story of a romance and interest in a certain girl. It’s light hearted and wholesome.

However, Jordan Rager outdid himself with “Underage.” It’s just as catchy as it is meaningful. A flashback in time to when responsibilities were nowhere in sight and fun was just around the corner. His southern vocals tread flawlessly over the breezy melody. Last, the hard-hitting track “Whatever” takes on a rock inspired sound. A party anthem that isn’t typically Jordan Rager’s style, the song is sure to be a fan-favorite as it screams “mainstream” through and through.

Jordan Rager has been consistent with his sound and style. He has continued to impress those who have the pleasure of not only hearing his music but also seeing him live. Southern Boy showcases the artist in Jordan Rager.  A brilliantly written and produced EP, Southern Boy should definitely be added to your playlist.
