At just sixteen years of age, Jordyn Stoddard has already accomplished what other artists have been trying to achieve. Not only does her singing, guitar playing and songwriting make her a triple threat in the country music world, but the way she goes about each one is what sets her apart from the rest.
With her Taylor Swift-esque sound and approach, the Jacksonville Beach, Florida native has been named 2013 Local Artist of the Year, and her single, “Sayonara”, was selected as the 2013 Local Song of the Year for a local radio station in Jacksonville, FL. She is a regular performer on several radio and televisions shows in her area and is currently nominated for for “Favorite Local Female Solo Acoustic Artist” by SouthFloridaCountryMusic.com.
That’s not all. Playing many shows to thousands of people at a time has given Stoddard the experience and confidence needed to excel in her music career. And that experience and confidence has not gone unnoticed as she has been able to share the stage with well known country acts like Montgomery Gentry, The Gatlin Brothers, Easton Corbin, Matt Stillwell and Sundy Best.
We may be hearing more from Jordyn around the start of 2015 when her first single is anticipated to be released. She is currently working on her first full length album which will be recorded with Grammy Award-winner David Hall (Kenny Chesney, Mariah Carey, Gavin DeGraw, Usher) in Nashville. In the meantime, while we’re waiting for her new album, check out the music video for her song, “Sayanora”, below!
