[email protected] Jazzes Things Up with an Eclectic Lineup

You’ve got to hand it to Kacey Musgraves…she is giving the country music genre more exposure than you can shake a stick at.

On top of being the opener for Katy Perry’s World Tour this past year and hanging out with the mainstream world’s most elite, she is NOW joining the ranks of The Who, Elton John, No Doubt, Widespread Panic, Keith Urban, Sturgill Simpson, Jimmy Buffett, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Pitbull, Chicago, T.I. Jerry Lee Lewis, Steve Winwood and Buddy Guy by performing at this year’s 2015 Jazz Fest. Jazz-specific acts will include Jimmy Cliff, Allen Toussaint, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the Meters, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Hozier, Galactic with guest Macy Gray, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Juvenile and Mannie Fresh Together, Taj Mahal and many others.

Another country songbird that will be there is Alison Krauss and Union Station. It sounds like a can’t miss event and I’m excited Kacey gets to be the face of country music and show ’em what it’s all about.

The 2015 Jazz Fest — officially it’s the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival presented by Shell — is April 24-26 and April 30-May 3. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 13th at 10:00am CT.
